Every Retired Racehorse Has Two Stories

Because the finish line was never the end of their story.

Every retired racehorse has a story from the track. But what happens when the racing ends?

Every Retired Racehorse Has Two Stories is a 252 page book that brings together 26 heartfelt, honest and wonderfully individual stories of retired racehorses and the people who have welcomed them into their lives beyond racing.

From the challenges of retraining to the smallest moments of progress, from unexpected setbacks to laugh-out-loud moments, these stories celebrate the extraordinary adaptability of former racehorses and the relationships that develop when a new chapter begins.

Some horses discover new careers. Others find happiness in a quieter life. And every journey is different.

Why this book was created

This book was born from a simple belief: nobody should feel alone on their journey with a retired racehorse.

Behind the beautiful photographs and moments of achievement, there are often struggles, uncertainties, setbacks and days when we question whether we're doing enough or getting anything right.

But there are also extraordinary moments of connection, tiny victories that mean everything, and the indescribable feeling when a horse who once struggled to trust takes another little step forward.

By bringing together the honest experiences of 26 horses and their people, we hope that anyone navigating their own journey will find something familiar within these pages. Reassurance that the difficult days are normal, that progress isn't always linear, and that their story matters too.

Inspired by Golfe Clair (G), the retired racehorse behind The Final Furlong Co.®, this book is a celebration of second chances, patience, perseverance and the remarkable horses who make it all worthwhile.

Whether you already share your life with a retired racehorse, are considering welcoming one into your world, or simply love a good horse story, this book offers a heartfelt reminder:

Success isn't always measured in rosettes. Sometimes, it's simply about finding where you belong.

26 horses. 26 journeys. A whole new chapter.
